Celebrating the magic at the intersection of art and ales, our annual Off-Centered Art Series is a chance for our brewers to take a walk on the wild side and with our latest innovation, that’s precisely what they did with ‘Where the Wild Hops Are!’
This unfiltered, rustic IPA is brewed with four wild-derived hop varieties that include Zappa, Amarillo, Comet and Sabro. It’s then blended with a touch of barrel-aged wild ale that’s been aged for four years in French Oak barrels.
The result is a complex blend of citrus meets dank, that’s rounded out by a touch of wild. With each sip, you’ll be greeted by dry, oak-tinged finish.

A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 2 finger finely pored off white head that receded to a long lasting rocky cap; sheets of lace;
S: pineapple, orange zest, and a hint of mint;
T: passionfruit comes through, as do mint, lemon, and orange zest;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: a different and interesting flavor; didn't pick up any funk or any character from the oak barrels;

I had never had this Dogfish head brew. It is now one of my favorites.

Pours a very hazy dark gold with a medium head with nice lacing. Tons of visible carbonation. It's worth noting my bottle says 2021 and I'm drinking this in mid-2023. Smell is very mild but also pleasant- clean bready yeastiness and mild floral hops. Taste is dominated by a sharp bitterness that persists from the start and lingers through the finish Some citrus and floral notes. A little bit of sourness from the wild ale infusion. A very neat experiment which mostly works. A little dry with lots of carbonation, but this may again because I'm drinking a "cellared" bottle. Good experimental beer.

pours a hazy, golden amber with a ton of floaters and a gigantic foamy white head. nose; clean grain, stone fruit, hops, & earthy funk - smells like a saison. taste; very thin cracker malt, tea, pear juice, light lime zest, & citrus hops. dry with some slight black pepper on end. light mouthfeel & extremely heavily carbonated. a simple, easy-drinking, near pilsner of an ipa.

Put into a clear glass beer mug. Poured a golden color with a light foam white head. The smell was of hops and some kind of citrus. The taste was one of hops and a little bit citrus. All in all, a decent IPA.

Bottle date smudged but I get 2022
pours a foamy fizzy 1 finger head with moderate retention, hazy med golden color with sediment
Nose semi sweet malt, sweet blonde like malts and a hint of toasted, moderate hops, mild herbal iced tea, into some citrus and fruity aromas, candied stone fruit, a little dank resin like note and hint of barnyard funk way in the background, hint of oak
Taste brings more of the sweet candy malts, candied citrus and a little stone fruit, light herbal tea and earthy notes into a mild dank resin like character but barely, some mild barnyard funk in the background, again just a hint as the IPA seems to dominate, and a touch of buttery oak mixed in, with med-light bitterness, then finishing a little sweet some drying with a bit more dank piney and candied citrus lingering with more med bitterness
Mouth is med bod, med frothy carb,
Overall unique and interesting, fun beer in general
