A - Dark amber pour with dense, soapy lacing and light carbonation.
S - Rum and pumpkin spice with a sweet malt base.
T - Rum, pumpkin, pumkin spice, brown sugar, alcohol, and ends on the sweeter, boozier side.
M - Thick, syrupy, with light carbonation, silky texture, and warming in the back of the throat.
O - This is an atypical 'Barley and it works. Recommended.

Nice amber color, thin soapy tan head. The smell of the beer has a very nice rum-spice aroma. The taste has a great pumpkin spice flavor with a sugary barleywine finish. The feel is a little thin for the style but overall I really enjoyed this.

On tap at Dogfish Head Taproom and Kitchen in Milton, DE.
This one pours a light copper orange-brown color, with a small head, and no lacing.
This smells like sticky caramel, vanilla cream, spiced rum, pumpkin pie, and toffee.
The pumpkin pie spicing is lighter here, which is great. It mostly invokes actual pumpkin pie, with a bready and caramelly malt sweetness, actual pumpkin flavor instead of heavy spicing, and lots of spiced but not boozy rum characteristics.
This is medium bodied, and a slow sipper. It’s not super boozy, but you definitely know it’s strong.
This is a silly, fun, and ultimately well done fall-inspired barleywine.
