Our take on an Italian-style pilsener, this beer was dryhopped late in fermentation to liberate floral notes from the Saaz and Spalt hops added. To add our own off-centered thumbprint we continually-hopped it as we do our classic flagship IPA’s, but with noble Spalt hops to provide that classic spicy aroma that makes a great, crisp lager. Saluti!

On tap at Dogfish Head Taproom and Kitchen in Milton, DE.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like herbal hops, lightly sweet breadiness, lemon peel, and a sort of minerally flavor.
I love Italian pilsners, and this is a pretty solid take on it. It’s got a zippy and refreshing bitterness, with a touch of lemon as well, and a light but supportive hint of doughy malt sweetness.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and very drinkable.
I don’t know how widespread this will be, or if it’s DFH only, but it’s worth an order if you see it.
