Picked this up at the brewery in Milton a little under a year ago. Saving for the start of summer. Big bottle dipped in wax. Pours black with a great thick creamy head that 's persistent and laces the sides of the glass. Smell is fantastic- chocolate, vanilla, caramel- rich. Taste is similar but I'm getting more whisky and wood and spicy booze. Tastes very good. Smooth velvety mouthfeel. Rating a touch low on the overall because the drinkability is a bit low here. But this is the big crazy stout that it's trying to be and a successful experiment from Dogfish Head

A - Pitch black pour with moderate dense caramel colored lacing and light carbonation.
S - Light char, gingerbread, and spice.
T - Woody char, gingerbread, spice, and Bourbon with residual vanilla. Moderate bitterness but has a light acidity lingering in the background.
M - Big body, silky smooth, some warming on the way down.
O - The aroma is better than the taste.
