Very drinkable, a little light in body. Strong citrus notes and I think just the right amount of hops for the style.
Although, what do I know about the style, I'm just a rando on the Internet.
It was yum. Would definitely buy it again for a great easy drink.

12oz can purchased from the fridge as part of a mix-a-six pack for approximately $13.99. There is a date code but I cannot figure out what it says.
Look: It's moderately hazy and yellowish goldish. I was not expecting the haze. I guess that I should have known better when the name of the beer is "Juicy Pale Ale." There was a short off-white head that dissipated to a thin rim around the glass.
Smell: Very ripe fruit - pineapple, mango, canned mandarin oranges packed in syrup. Some faint hop notes in the background.
Taste: Flavors on the palate very much mimic the nose. It has very strong tropical fruit / fruit cocktail flavors playing off a mildly hoppy/bitter/piney finish. I think that this beer may be oxidized.
Feel: Carbonation is the appropriate level. Perhaps a bit too prickly, but it works. The beer is a bit thin though; it has a kind of hollow core so it would have been nice if the body was a bit fuller.
Overall: This wasn't my cup of tea. It's just too sweet and the hop characteristics have been lost. They did a great job of marketing though - got me to buy it! I think that I would have liked this more if it was a more West Coast style Pale Ale.

I did not like this beer. Grateful Dead theme plus Dogfish Head seemed so promising. It looks ok, but the taste and smell is like some cheap candy. To be fair, I’m not keen on juicy ipa in general. Thinking about this, a skanky west coast ipa seems a much better way to honor the Dead.

This looks perfect and refreshing with pure orange-yellow solid haze and a bright white, sudsy head attached to the top of my glass. Plenty of lacing.
Smells faint of citrus and bread.
Taste is light orange citrus and a grainy/ earthy note likely from the granola. Unique in the way DFH tends to be, not likable at first but grows on me to somehow be refreshing enough to drink in a crushable way. Zesty finish, very slight herbal/ peppery note.
Feels smooth and with medium carbonation.
The taste grew in me. Here I rated it as the first impression but overall my end impression takes it a bit higher. Refreshing in a different way.

Can into Pint Glass
Look: Hazy yellow body, pouring a near 1 finger, frothy head which quickly dissipated into a thin cap
Smell: Juicy citruses, and light malt, some tropical fruit, and a dose of resin and herbaceous hops. Medium strength nose
Taste: Juicy citrus, pineapple, and a pleasant wheaty and oaty malt. Very light bitterness, with a resinous and herbaceous hops flavor. Finish draws everything down to a nice mellow malt before that too quickly disappears into a clean finish
Feel: Medium-light bodied, moderate carbonation, smooth texture, crisp finish
Overall: Good brew, very citrusy pale ale. Great summer day beer. Crisp, light and refreshing pale ale

Good Pale Ale. Light, low. abv and citrusy. A great choice as a summer cooler. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a hazy yellow body and a large to medium sided frothy white head. Lots of thick frothy lacing on the glass and good head retention. Aroma and taste included citrus (grapefruit and lemon, some grainy maltiness and tropical fruit. Pleasant light flavor with just a touch of bitterness. Mouthfeel was light and crisp with just a touch of bitterness. Good with my shrimp dinner and a very good summer/lawnmower beer.

It's a lot of citrus. Like a sour IPA. It's a bit much. It's decent but holy moly. If you like sours this is an ipa for you. If not, maybe skip this one.
