Engine 19 IPA is the product of our shared vision with Garnet: creating a beer that not only tastes good, but does good. We worked closely with Garnet to create a beer that’s both flavorful and meaningful, with a recipe inspired by community connection, approachability, and celebration. The result is a 6.5% ABV IPA featuring Simcoe, Chinook and Citra hops for aromas of pine and pithy citrus rounded out by flavors of passion fruit, toffee and biscuit.

Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is copper, clear/transparent, head is off white/light tan with fine bubbles, head presents one finger thick and lingers very well with solid top and spotty lacing.

Smell is subdued at first but with warmth brings forth the malt forward notes with light caramel, toast, biscuit; hops are backing but provide a light citric and earth/pine note. Somewhat classic, somewhat nuanced.

Taste is similar with forward malt flavor - caramel, toast, biscuit, light toffee; hops are citric, light candy, earth and pine.

Mouthfeel is light carbonation, moderate sweetness, moderate/low bitterness for style.

Overall a solid, fresh IPA with a malt forward flavor and nuanced hop character.

Copper color, nice head a lacing. Surprisingly fruity, along with caramel malt and grapefruit. Very tasty and well balanced.

Purchased at Bound Berverage, Warrington, PA $14.50/6pk 12oz cans

Pours a translucent golden, yellow-orange color with a one finger beige head. A decent amount of lacing left on the sides of the glass.

Very inviting aromas of peach, mango and hops.

A very tasty IPA. Flavors of peach, mango, grapefruit and a backbone of sweet malts. A nice piney, hoppiness that lingers on the tongue. The ABV is not noticeable. Very easy drinking.

Medium consistency with a medium, tiny bubble carbonation.

Overall, another winner from DFH. One of the better IPAs I’ve sampled recently. Cheers!
