This is their regular and most popular beer, Poppy Jasper, spiked with an extra pound of centennial hops to the final finished keg. They have 3 other varieties of hops (Amarillo, Columbus and Simcoe) that you can have in the same fashion; it is said to be an educational session so your palate can get a taste of the different types of hops.
Paid $5.50 for a pint from El Toro in Morgan Hill, CA.
Was dropped off with a 1 finger head that stuck around. Heavy carbonation. Dark amber in color. Nice hefty lacing.
Very sweet hoppy nose.
Nice balance of sweeter malts with the centennial hops. A somewhat bitter finish.
Heavy carbonation in the mouth. Somewhat creamy, medium bodied.
Not bad, but I still think the Deuce IPA is their best beer.
