A - Opaque black with brown highlights, a light tan head, extensive fine line lacing.
S - Strong roasted malt note, definite limestone minerality, a smoky undertone that lingers.
T - Toasty malts out front, honeyed sweetness with a definite smoke note, quick to open a grassy hop front, then soft bitter notes close over a lasting honey thread through the finish.
M - Brisk carbonation, moderate weight, dry close.
O - I enjoyed this one quite a bit. The kind of stout I’d keep in regular rotation if it were distributed my way.
