On tap at the brewery. Brought a crowler home too, poured into a tulip glass. Look is deep, dark brown almost black. Tan head fell quickly to a thin cap. Beautiful looking stout. Smell is heavy fresh brewed coffee, as it warms you get some dark fruit and roasted malt. Flavor starts with the coffee up front, in the middle you get a little bitterness mixed with roasted barley and it finishes with a bit of cocoa and more coffee. The coffee lingers through the aftertaste. Feel is medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Overall, I enjoy coffee stouts and this one doesn't disappoint. It is coffee heavy which I love, but it also has enough other flavors to balance the beer out. I'd love a bit more body here, but overall, I am a fan of this one.
