Fireside is our 12% imperial stout aged in a fresh bourbon barrel we picked up from our friends at Mad River Distillers in Waitsfield, Vermont.
No lactose, no adjuncts - Just lots of fantastic malt from our buddies at Blue Ox Malthouse, a touch of hops from Four Star Farms, Inc. to balance out the sweetness and lots of time spent in a fantasticly fresh bourbon barrel (seriously - it was empty for about 24 hours; thanks Alex!).
We get big notes of chocolate, espresso, and vanilla with unmistakable bourbon finish.
