Gratitude is our iteration of a robust porter. It is also a tool to be used to positively engage with the world around you. When you enjoy this beer, please consider the words of Lao Tzu:
"When you realize there is nothing lacking, the world belongs to you..."
We are grateful for the opportunity to share our perspective, and this beer, with you.

can into glass
Thick, light brown head with lots of bubbling action. Very dark and murky brown/black appearance, with a viscosity on the edge of the glass. Somewhat subtle, slightly sweet, dark roasted grains, with a little wood and caramel hint, on the side, for the aroma. Quite a lot of dark roasted grains, with a hint of toffee, for the taste. The body is thin for a robust porter. The finish is a moderate roasted and toasted grain and malt one.

Solid black motor oil appearance with a lasting tan head
Light carbonation with an above average body, all added up to a nice feel.
Aroma is a really nice hit of roasted malt, black coffee, plum, and mocha.
Taste is a bit dry yet theres some malt sweetness. Roasted malt, black coffee and espresso beans are the backbone of the flavor with some plum lingering in the background.
Really nice well done beer that I cant recommend enough

The pour is jet black with a beige & frothy head of foam. The taste is rich roasted malt, dark chocolate, toffee, along with some hints of plum, & earthy herbal notes. Cheers! A-

Poured from a 16oz can into pint glass in January 2026. There was a date of "09/23/25 14:50" stamped on the bottom of the can. I drank it within two weeks of purchase.
Appearance: Very dark black with a little dark tan head. Head was less than 1 finger high, and lasted less than a minute. The head had large bubbles, especially for a porter. It left very little lacing on the glass, and ended with no head on the beer.
Smell: Aroma of coffee, and hops. Also some roasted malt smell.
Taste: There is strong coffee flavors, with roasted malt flavors. I also taste a little dark-chocolate flavors (not sweet) as well as a good amount of bitter hop flavors to enhance the taste. This is definitely not a sweet porter. There is a nice alcohol presence, which matches the 7.4% on the label.
Mouth-feel: Medium-Full body, but also smooth. It has a little edge with the hop flavors.
This is a very good Porter, and I enjoyed the variety of flavors. The balance of flavors is good. Even though it is a medium/full-bodied beer, it is still smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would buy this again.

Aroma is chocolate/milk chocolate and dark/toasty malts. The flavor is dark malts, chocolate/milk chocolate, fruit and a mildly sweet/acidic/classic Porter yeast finish.

Can from the Packie.
Pours a dark brown bordering on black with a frothy tan head that slowly dissipates. Rich roasty chocolate notes with bits of earth and a hint of smoke to counter. Light sweet sticky mouthfeel hints of licorice.

Pours black with three fingers of caramel colored foam. Aroma is thick toasty and a combo punch of nutty and caramelly malts. Bitter with a little included sweetness around the edges. Flavor profile is toasty malts in a bigger punch than the aroma. Nutty, caramelly, and bready malts round out the malts. Light bits of herbal and pine hops poke through. Mouth feel is medium-thick in thickness. Texture is full and creamy. Overall, a dark, toasty porter that rounds out well.

16 ounce can, Julian Date 23356 (DEC 22, 2023) stamped on the bottom of the can. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch frothy tan head that stuck around a long time. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like burnt/charred malt, dark chocolate, coffee and some earthy hops. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma but with a little more of a kick, and there's also some caramel and a bit of licorice flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall robust porter, certainly worth a try if you get the chance. I know I'd like to try this one again sometime!

Poured into a wide mouth grip shaped goblet: color is solid black, head is tan and presents 1/4 inch thick with fine bubbles, head lingers well with some lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is sweeter chocolate and roasted malt with underlying dark fruitiness, moderate hopping with mostly grass and herbs.
Taste is more dark chocolate, roast, some fruitiness with dark (cherry or plum like), grass and herbal hops.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, lower bitterness but could be from the sweeter than normal presence.
Overall a good strong dark beer - blending the porter/stout/milk-sweet stout lines some, kind of dark beer mashup.

L- Opaque dark chocolate beer color with soft foamy head that is light coffee brown in color. Excellent lace as the head settles
N- Strong roast coffee and light anise tang
T-Strong black roast coffee with some tangy bitterness that hints at some sort of dark caramel. Once accustomed to the bitterness, the dark caramel tang becomes more prominent yet not fruity in the sense of a plum or raisin.
F- Smooth and low carbonation with somewhat heavy feeling body.
Strong sense of drying hop tannins down the middle of the tongue, not too dissimilar to strong coffee.
O- This is a big strong porter that leans toward a stout style for me with its pronounced strong coffee flavor. Was expecting a bit more malt and slightly sweeter caramel flavors. Leans more toward a Russian Imperial Stout to me. It is put together well, yet not worth the high price for my taste.
