Poured from a 16-oz can stamped 11/09/23. Almost 5-months old which probably explains why it was on the singles shelf in the store cooler. Poured to a Nonic at fridge temp.
It has a brilliant orange body and a puffy white head that fades within 3-minutes. The beer does lace the glass moderately through the session though.
There is a distinct onion aroma and some underlying mustiness from a sniff.
The taste is better on the front end- citrus rind coupled with some sweetness, but the finish brings a slight hop burn and that onion sensation again, though not as off putting as the aroma.
The body is tongue coating and carbonation is a little light.
I think it's unfair for me to pan this beer given the age of this single. I hope to revisit it and revise my review soon.

Excellent beer! I had no knowledge the brewer was a disciple of Hill Farmstead, but as soon as I tried it, I immediately knew. Single hop Nelson Sauvin is resinous and tastes spectacular. Excellent mouthfeel with great aroma and mellow haze. A full body that adequately covers the formable 8% ABV. Overall a top notch brew.

16oz can (notates Waimea, not Nelson, on the lower front of the can) pours out turbid with lots of floaties and a big fluffy white head. Big big NZ/southern hemisphere vibes on the nose and palate, good hop presence, grassy and zippy with lime, pineapple, and lemongrass. Chalky mouthfeel, a bit off-putting but not the end of the world. Solid.

Love Nelson hops and found this at a local pizza spot (Square Peg Pizzeria in Vernon, CT). Now, whenever I walk in the barman gets it straight out of the fridge without even asking. Good stuff.

A double dry-hopped IPA made with Waimea hops from New Zealand. Poured fresh with a huge foamy head which lasted and clung to the glass. Seemed to me to have an off smell, nothing alarming. Hazy, light amber color, nothing special there. Just not really hoppy though, which wouldn’t be a problem. But here it needed some spark that wasn’t there.

Chalky, gray-yellow body; thick, frothy head, white and semi-creamy; sticky rings and fingers of foam inside the glass. Mild earthy fruit smell; light tropical fruit and floral character. More tropical and citrus fruit strength in the taste; oats; moderate hop bitterness; phenols. Heavy body; somewhat creamy texture; mild alcohol heat.
The Nelson Sauvin hops comes across a bit subdued (likely due to the beer's age). The appearance is top-notch, the flavor pretty decent, and the mouthfeel suits the style.
Pouring temperature: 43 °F; canning info: 03/16/23

NELSON 01/28/23. Poured into a BA 25th Ann teku — hell yeah!!
A: Mildly hazy pineapple juice hue with 2-finger white frothy head with decent retention and numerous random lacing forms.
S: Pineapple and tart berry with a savory, resiny aspect. Esters seem low intensity.
T: Flavor is really complex and interesting for a single hop beer with pineapple, ripe melon, tart berry, lemon-lime, and the back end has a savory burnt cheese flavor, like the woven Parmesan chippy dry cheese stick that usually come in a tin. Esters remain low with low bitterness.
M: Smooth and easily drinkable despite the 8% ABV with medium body, moderate carbonation, and smooth slightly dry finish,
O: An amazing first beer from Eredita - beautiful aromas and flavors with complexity and drinkability — an impressive effort with unique and interesting elements.
