Flavors of bittersweet chocolate, toffee, plum, and a delicate balance between breadiness and light roast. Hopped with NY Saaz and fermented with a classic German lager yeast strain. Lagered 12 weeks.

On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells nicely chocolatey, with a very nice roastiness on the nose.

UBL is certainly much more known for hazy IPAs, but this is a really solid stab at one of my favorite styles. It’s really nice roasty, with just a little bit of sweetness, chocolatey and creamy, on the back end. There’s just a touch of hop bitterness there, too.

This is light bodied, but creamy, and very drinkable.

This was really surprisingly enjoyable.
