Tasted as part of a sampler flight at the brewery taproom in Pensacola, FL.
L - Dark amber beer is hazy. Moderately persistent bone-colored head.
S - Aromas of light fruit, moderate levels of wood smoke and low alcohol esters.
T - Delicious! Lots of smoke that is slightly harsh, reminiscent of Schlenkerla Rauchbier's smoke, but it is lightened and sweetened by a cherry note. Dry finish.
F - Light to moderate body; high level of prickly carbonation. Light hops bitterness. Well-hidden alcohol.
O - This is a wonderful beer with a great blend of fruit and smoke.
