Forgotten Oatmeal Stout

I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured an opaque dark mahogany amber with ecru head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had a baltic porter/russian stout notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet dry dark chocolate malt base with a dark roast flare highlighted by vanilla and anise presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.
