Funky Fauna Artisan Ales

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, medium golden amber with a fine, one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, orange, grapefruit, light herbal dankness and a hint of mixed fruit. Flavor is pale malt, dank and citrus hops, appropriate catty dankness, grapefruit, lemon and mild orange and mixed fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Interesting difference between the aroma and taste. I got distince caramel in the smell, but not in the tasted; likewise the aroma was Citra leaning, but taste is dank. Not getting much of the Mosaic fruit character, but I can taste a little because I'm looking for it. Not too complex, but refreshing and a nice IPA in the dank end of the West Coast style.
