Great place to hit up for tap brews in Winston; always quite a few good US micros and some imports on tap in addition to a fairly wide selection of bottles. It's always incredibly smoky, but this is the city that made Camel Lights famous. With its location right across the street from the park, people often bring their dogs in after going for a walk or run; it's the only bar in Winston where you're more likely to see a dog wandering through the stools than not. The bottle prices are a bit high, but the atmosphere is nice, the big deck is great in the summer montsh, and there's a good selection in addition to some macros for your buddies who just won't be initiated.

Ah the West End Tap Room...one of the few places with a good beer selection in Winston. The problem, they know it and charge huge premiums on bottles.

The atmosphere is always good and lively. Usually a bit crowded, and always smoky inside on a busy night. But this is Winston Salem, the cities names is two cigarette names combined, what did you expect? That is the major drawback of every bar in NC. If you don't like it, either sit on the patio, don't go out, or move to a different state. Sorry.

The beer selection via the website.
Bottle Beers (in random order) - Bud light, Miller Lite, Natural Light, Budweiser, Amstel Light, Miller high life, Beck's, PBR, Red Stripe, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Heineken,Corona, Corona Light, Coors light, O'Douls, Icehouse, Rolling Rock, Michelob Light, Old Speckled Hen, Guinness, Boddington's, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Tea, and Cranberry Lemonade, John Courage, Harp, Abita Purple Haze, Woodchuck, Negra Modelo, Dos Equis, Sam Adams, Killian's, McEwan's, Shiner Bock, Shiner Hefeweisen, Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout and Pale Ale, Michelob Ultra, Pete's seasonals.

Beers on Tap - Anchor Steam, Michelob Amber Bock, Hoegaarten, Newcastle, Bud Light, Red Hook.

Great selection of bottles but the prices are a bit steep, $9 for a Sam Smith? I realize it's a bigger bottle, but $9! But to my knowledge it's the only bar in town that serves good ol' Sammy.
