DDH Hazy DIPA
8% ABV
Orange Julius, guava, candied pineapple, mixed berries, fresh-cut flowers, pine resin
The Tin Barn Crew rolled through town for the Copper State Beer Festival and we wasted zero time throwing down a collab. Known for crafting some of the juiciest haze, teaming up on a double dry-hopped hazy DIPA was a no-brainer. We built this one the right way, stacked with malted oats and pale white wheat for maximum body and glow. The kettle got absolutely loaded with Mosaic Dynaboost and Vera, then we cranked things up with a massive 7 lb per barrel dry hop of Mosaic Cryo, Nectaron, Vera, and Rakau to push hop saturation into overdrive.

Hazy grapefruit juice. Tropical, citrusy, berries and light pine and dank character; lots of hops going on. Nice balance with light bitterness. Medium bodied with a juicy hop finish.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy goldenstraw with a two finger head; decent retention with splotchy lacing
Smell: Bright, citrusy aromatics, with tangerine, lemon-lime and berry tones; a piney edge, as well
Taste: Tangerine forward with lemon-lime flavors assertively developing; a hint of berry underneath with a piney finish; a touch green in the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: More citrus and pine with limited tropical fruit elements; a nice level of bitterness on the finish
