A small beer for big sessions. Upon a light wheat and spelt base we've hopped with traditional EU Saaz and prisitne NZ Nelson Sauvin. With an expressive yeast profile, dry-ish finish, and optimum drinkability what more could one ask for? Santé!

This was a birthday present in August 2024, drunk in September.
L: The beer is a hazy, washed-out yellow in the glass with a moussy, bright white head. Small amounts of carbonation can be seen.
S: The nose has clean and robust lemon notes with the slightest touch of clove.
T: The taste is zesty, bitter, light-tasting lemon with a long, tangy finish (this last bit despite the can noting the beer's supposed dry finish). While the finish is long from a taste perspective, it's a little thin and soda-like. Underlying all is a slight phenolic, clovey note that especially comes out retronasally. This beer is very flavourful for a 2.7% ABV offering.
M: Despite the thin finish, the body is quite full for a beer with such a light alcohol load. Carbonation is minimal and sherbety.
O: Australia's mid-strength beer game is world-class. Most brewers now tend to go down the hazy route in this genre because the oats and other additions add body to what were originally quite thin beers. While this one uses wheat for that effect, going down the Belgian table beer flavour profile is a little used but tasty approach to this growing market.
Cheers!
