Toffee colored from the Maris Otter malts. Aroma and flavor blast me with American hops: Simcoe, Columbus, Amarillo. Lots of citrus and pine.
Cannot believe this is only 33 ibus! Tastes bitter enough to be an IPA. Love the Maris Otter malts-- lightly sweet and toasted...just perfect. Finish is bitter and drying and lasts long.
I wish all pale ales were this flavorful. Love the hybrid nature of this ale. It's a winner! And another feather in Free State's cap!
