Poured into a Stone gargoyle flute. Pours a medium golden amber with a quarter finger white head that dissipates to a thin film with light lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt, dank hops, over-ripe light stone and tropical fruit. Flavor follows, with dry caramel malt, dank hops, some catty dankness, light citrus and pine with some over-ripe tropical fruit. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solid American style IPA that doesn't have as bright pine and citrus flavors as I expected, but good bitterness and flavorful malt. This can has a few months on it and the brighter hop flavors may have faded, but the overall flavor has a good dankness, a basic West Coast profile and some aged fruit notes. I liked the bitterness level that stayed clear and satisfying throughout the taste.
