Rich malt flavor with notes of toasted caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and a kiss of hops.
Not a bad Dopplebock, but not great one either. A little on the hot alcohol side for a 7.8% beer. Not as smooth as I was hoping.
Reminds me more of a barleywine than a dopplebock.
