Consumed March 3rd, 2010 at the brewery.
Clear brew, with a coppery/yellow-orange hue that I find hard to describe exactly for some reason. Very persistent fine white head.
Moist, herbal aroma like wet hops: more earthy than citric or pine.
Flavor is quite hoppy: lemon and herbal, even spicy. Notable lingering bitterness on finish. Subsequent sips reveal a VERY slight caramel malt backbone. Out of balance to my palate.
Mouthfeel is parching: very dry. Beyond enjoyable and teetering on the brink of annoyance.
As with most of this brewery's beers, these are quite solid and average; unflawed but lacking in distinguishing characteristics.
