Poured from 500mL can into a dimpled mug. Picked up this can right at the brewery; best by 1/1/26.
Appearance: dark brown hue with a low level of haze and a finger of frothy tan foam atop.
Smell: lightly sweet malt with some nice chocolate notes. Nothing too fancy here, but not bad.
Taste: a little more astringent than the aroma suggested; there's definitely some roast here. The malt has some sweetness but it doesn't quite balance the roastier / more astringent elements. Not perfect, but decent.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminesss.
Overall: a pretty good stout, actually. The lagers tend to be a lot better than the ales in Czech Republic, but this is a decent offering.
