Brewed with experimental hop HBC436. Serves on tap at Mikkeller bar in SF.

Hazy orange with a tangy, fruity citrus flavor. The body is a splash of fruit -- heavy apricot, some peach, and tangerine. Finish is bitter and dry. Highly recommended. Great IPA.

Pours amber gold and cloudy. Nearly opaque. Medium white head. Lots of lacing and moderate retention. Relatively pale. Aroma is orange juice with a touch of grapes. Very orangey. Almost too orangey, really. It's actually a bit simplistic. Taste is similar. It tastes like orange juice. Sure, there are some beer flavors, but there's a lot of orange in there. And it tends toward underripe orange. Interesting hop but it's not my favorite. Just a touch of bready malt. Mouthfeel is light for the abv. Well made. Solid effort with an interesting hop, but I'd like something to balance out the orange.
