Clear (nearly transparent) beautiful golden hued brew, topped by a strong white head with excellent retention.
Sweet and dank aroma, blending resinous and flowery hop notes with a honeyed cracker malt expression.
Flavor follows, focusing on pine and resin up front, before quickly ceding to intensely juicy tropical fruit and berry notes. Finish returns a surprising amount of bitter pine, along with a touch of citrus peel.
Very smooth, but not particularly lively or crisp for a single IPA. At over 7%, this is on the high end of the spectrum for singles, however.
Very enjoyable IPA.

Handsome golden brew with foam renewing with every sip in the Rodenbach goblet. Aroma is delirious-- orange blossoms and the wind in the pines. Just enough malty sweetness and a bready flavor. Mellow peach flavor is quite distinct. This is a nice compromise between a lower-ABV sharp hop attack and the stronger, sweeter DIPAs.
This is an extremely pleasant sipping IPA. Moderate bitterness. Hard to stop pouring another couple fingers. Silly price, though-- $9.59 for the 22 oz bottle at Bine & Vine in San Diego.

From bottle
Light hazy honey color
Virtually no head and thin lacing
Inviting citrus rind apple and pine smell
Thin crisp mouthfeel
Nicely balanced hop profile with a mid level bitterness in line with Beachwoods other delicious offerings. More steely than fruity. A bit one noted but an enjoyable note it is. Beachwood can do no wrong.
