Thanks to infrared90s for this 16 oz. can that arrived in a recent trade.
The pour is nearly as orange as a real NE IPA, or a real orange with a little blood orange leaked into it. The nose is mango & sharp, bitter pine. Promising.
Beachwood 11 is beautiful. Wonderful boost of tropical fruit up front mixed in with fresh Hawaiian Bread. Lovely hop bitterness mid-palate mixes with mineral water & the fresh earthiness of Canadian soil after a thunderstorm. OK, das ist bullsheet, but it has a character that I’m finding hard to describe that reminds me the deep outdoors in liquid form. Touch of candied sweetness & the ghost of an almost rye-like spicing rounds this out. It’s a very dry liquid & soooo easy to drink. Sad the ounces are nearly gone.
Fantastic. There aren’t enough NE IPAs that hit this g-spot of bitterness & fruitiness without going light on the first & overboard on the latter. Marvelous beer.

On tap at the source in Long Beach. Hazy orange under a 1/2" thick white head which leaves puzzle and splotchy lace. Aroma is loaded with tangerine, melon, mango and floral notes. Flavor is juicy tangerine and tropical fruits. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very nice - Happy Anny!
