great to drink some beers from these guys, i am so in love with their funky and wild beers that i hardly know any of the others, so this was a treat, a super modern and well refined clean ipa, delicious and drinkable, fresh and potent, simple in some ways, leaning into some awesome hops, whatever they are, definitely new school. west coasty but the bitterness is held in check, there is light sweetness extending the hops, and the grain is otherwise out of the way in both aroma and in flavor. a golden brew from the tap with high clarity and radiant shine, looks awesome in the glass under an inch and a half of wispy white foam, gorgeous. the aroma and flavor come with some resinous sappy character up front followed by ripe cantaloupe, kiwi fruit, tangerine zest, and cooked peach, so up front, juicy, intense, and dynamic, yet also not heavy, forced, green, or harsh, suggesting some hop products rather than just pellets, like this level of flavor saturation seems hard to get to without cryo or something. majorly fruity in the flavor with some dankness there, a touch of stickiness on the palate but clean to drink, refreshing and balancing bitterness at the end without it being too much. interesting and great on the hop side, really polished up and dialed in, id love to know what varietals are in this, but more than anything i am happy to be drinking some beachwood! dont miss this one, its exactly what i am wanting from ipa right now!
