It has a rich stout dark chocolate smell.
First it tastes like a sweet dark chocolate malt followed by a cocoa bitterness.
Thick and smooth with a slightly bitter dry finish.

I tried the Onyx at the brewery. It poured an opaque black with tan head that left some lace. The scent had faint hints of roast. The taste had some sweetness and roast. The Mouthfeel was fuller in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.
