Denver Jackhammer relentlessly pounds out massive hop aromas and flavors. A light base of American 2-row malt paves the way for a foundation of Chinook, Summit, Warrior, Simcoe, Columbus, Citra, and Amarillo hops. Double dry hopping with Simcoe, Citra, Centennial and Chinook will bulldoze your olfactory senses with aromas of fresh resin, bright tangerines, and herbal dankness.

April 7th, 2015 - Heavy, hoppy and syrupy, the aroma is a beast, creeping out from a clear and peaceful looking brew. The head lays thickly on the brew, aspen white and strong, but even so, the strength of the aroma asserts itself. And the flavor is a rambunctious ride. The first sip is incomprehensible, and buy the time I have my bearings, I register that the aftertaste ends with a long peal of grapefruit. There's some sushi freshness and ginger in the mid-taste, and near the beginning of the sip, I sense a double IPA sweetness, and a well orchestrated balance.

A: Hoppy with aromas of citrus, pine and slight amount of resin.
A: Light orange color, just a touch hazy, with dense white uniform head with adequate retention.
T: Hoppy upfront with citrus and pine, solid balance of malt, light sweetness, slightly boozy, with a moderately high hop bitterness and super dry finish.
M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation.
O: Alright; the beer is pretty big and slightly boozy and could be better with a little less hop bitterness.

I tried the Denver Jackhammer at the brewery. It poured a clear orangish with white head that left a lace. The scent was citrus and pine. The taste followed the scent but also had a boozy base. The Mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a big beer.

Pretty beer. Orange golden hue and sticky lace. Nose is fruity sweet. Love the aroma on this guy. Not quite hoppy - good melding on the nose. The taste is all at once creamy, sweet, slightly bitter and a kiss of resin on the after. Really good alchemy on this beer. Wow. Mouthfeel steals the show. Not oppressive, yet luscious. Dances on the tongue in all the right ways. Yes - a really really great west coast iPa - innovative in its dry hopping and embrace of the east coast techniques.

Oh my...this beer definitely lives up to the name of "Jackhammer." Medium pale body which is vet hazy, aroma is a blast of fresh pine, some citrus and a lot of hop bitterness. Flavor is a bit in the boozy and bitter side...almost a bit too much I dare say, but a hop heads dream. Big beer.
