Jean-Quad Van Damme is an inspired Belgian-style quadruppel. A mosaic of German and Belgian malts are melded with specialty Belgian "candi" syrup. The result is a wide swath of dark fruit flavors with accents of cognac. Floral hops from Germany provide the perfect balance to Quattro's impossibly complex maltiness. Fermented with out favorite Belgian yeast, this beer clocks in at 11.3% ABV.

A - Deep amber with hues of ruby with a thin layer of frothy bubbles.
S - Nose is not very prominent but get little bit of the usual Belgian yeast and dark fruits.
T - Dark malts and belgian candi with notes of raisins, vanilla, and hints of banana and... peach? Flavors are balanced; nothing out of whack. Not much spice, if at all. Get some of the heat towards the end. Reminds me of St. Berny.
M - Again like St. Berny, a creamy, almost velvety texture all throughout with medium-level carbonation (which is appropriate for the style).
O - A solid quad that I'd like to revisit again.
