On tap at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.
Pours a murky golden yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and slight grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with a grain flavor on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that tastes better than it smells in my opinion.

On-tap at Beachwood II,
A: Pours a translucent, lightly hazy goldenrod with a smattering of white bubbles.
S: Sourdough bread and yeasty notes, peppery.
T: Peppery yeast with some nice earthy hop character, tastes almost Belgian at times with the unfiltered character.
M: Light-bodied, smooth, turbid, long finish for the style.
O: It's not often I get to taste a zwickel, so this was fun. In the end I liked the filtered pils better since it really allowed the hops to shine.
