Dictionary definition of cool and casual. Friendly service. No pretense. Coolers offer 6-packs and individual cans. When I was there, a killer English style ESB was being offered (pumped) on-site.

Cool warehouse building on the east side of town, minimalist in a beachy sort of way. Straight bar perpendicular to the rear entrance seats 8 with about a half dozen tables about the room, and a small patio out back. 5 house beers, 5 collaborations, interesting mix. Friendly, knowledgeable bartenders. Fun time.

really awesome new spot, one of my favorite stops from our astoria visit. they have an interesting model going, there are tanks on the floor in here, but they are not yet making beer in house. they have done a lot of collaborations, some with extremely relevant partners, and they have also done what appears to be some contract brewing with someone in portland as well for their more regular offerings. im sure they will get up and running in their own spot soon, but its cool they have found a way to exist before that day comes, way cool. the space is rad, an old warehouse feel but they have made it about as cozy as a modern minimalist bohemian living room, houseplants everywhere, mellow lighting, just enough decor to feel intentional and not totally industrial, the right touches in here for sure. felt intimate even though it was big and mostly empty when we were in. a couple of levels to it, you go up a few stairs to get to the main bar area, so the brew house is sort of partially lower, which is a neat feel, big long bar running the length of one wall, nice set up! the beer list was awesome, and i was impressed with the diversity! stoked completely on the dwinell collaboration, spontaneous beer with zinfandel grapes, also dug the helles lager, the extra pale, and the bitter they did with steeplejack, great list. cool glassware, cool apparel, some beers already canned to go in the coolers there, and wonderful service that really enhanced our experience, chatty, informed, eager to sample us. i think these guys are still in their infancy, hard to give them too much credit for quality when everything is made elsewhere, but its obvious they are well connected and going places. it will be fun to watch this place come into its own, hopefully their brew house is rolling next time we visit! great model, great beers, quaint space, we had a blast in here!

A new operation. The taproom is open and serves both their own beers plus a smattering of beers in styles they don't yet have from Ft. George and others . A production area is still being organized in the rest of the building. No food, but you can get food and bring it in. All their beers are on tap and in cans, 16 oz format.

Service was good, friendly and they all could talk to their beers in depth. We'll visit again in a few months.
