I actually had a pint of this at the brewer's house this past weekend. The beer was poured into a pint glass. The brew exhibits a clear mahogany color and a large creamy tightly packed beige head foams up about 4 cm and fades gradually to a sturdy surface layer. The aroma is all malt with toffee and caramel mixing with a hint of dark chocolate. First sip reveals a thick almost syrupy body that coated my palate during each sip. The carbonation is very fine and gently rolls across my tongue. Flavor is again all malt. There is toffee and caramel again which flows smoothly to a bit of rich chocolate and just a touch of smoke. I find the beer to be very rich and almost chewy. No hint of the alcohol is anywhere to be found.
Quite nice to drink, even though it is on the sweet side. You definitley couldnt have more than 3 or 4 pints of this one. Worth a pint if it is on tap!

Got a pint of this, which, in color, is a pretty opaque medium brown with deep orange highlights. The head is a dirty beige ring of fine bubbles. The aroma is of malt -- clean, big malt -- with a barely perceptible hint of smokiness. It has a viscous, slightly sticky mouthfeel, and the first sip is sweet, but not cloying, and again with the very slightest touch of smoke. This powerful maltiness dominates the profile until the finish where it is joined by nice, subtle noble-like hop spice.
This is quite a yummy beer, and very drinkable for one this big.
