Grabbed a glass of this at the bar on one of the stops for my birthday beer tour of Southern CT. I was excited to learn about this beer being offered.
The beer comes in a large (23 oz?) weizen glass. THe color is a very hazy, cloudy tan with heavy yeast sediment. There is a soft creamy beige head floating on the beer that fades gradually to nothing.
The aroma is very nice, I get hit with strong bananas and some cloves, mixed in are mild lemony scents and a bready wheat scent too.
First sip, very low carbonated beer, the body has some umph! to it. Flavor is similar to the aroma, some bready wheat and lemon, but dominated by bananas, in fact that is what dominates the finish. I also detect a bit of sweet cherry on some of the sips.
The beer is very smooth and easy to drink, I enjoyed this thoroughly.
