On-tap at the brewpub back in early July. Reviewed from notes.
A: Clear medium amber body under a fine, creamy off-white head. Great retention, good lace. Nice.
S: Fairly intense hoppiness: dense, herbal resins, juicy citrus. Great, but for the underlying diacetyl - which in the beer's defense is somewhat more muted than in the brewpub's less aromatic offerings. Pretty good.
T: Fruity, citrusy hops up front, butter and malt midway through, and a very bitter finish. It's like orange marmalade on buttered toast. Interesting and rather enjoyable, even if not necessarily what would be considered ideal.
M: Medium body, creamy carbonation. Very nice.
O: Solid IPA, and definitely the runner-up to Damn Good Stout in the brewpub's lineup during my visit. One of the better hoppy offerings I've had from BAR.
Cheers!
