We believe in a world where you can buy a beer and make a difference.
It was this idea that drove a group of mates in Melbourne to launch at the start of 2019 with the aim of using beer as a way to help feed those in need. The team behind the beer was Nick Campbell, Chris Cefala, Sam Harris, Paddy Muston, Claudia Mitchell and Hugo Mylecharane; sharing a love not just for craft beer but social enterprise as well.​

Local Brewing Co teamed up with SecondBite, an organisation that rescues food from major supermarkets and passes it on to hungry families. For every pack and pint of beer purchased, we provide a meal to someone in need through SecondBite.

Local Brewing has donated more than 150,000 meals to people in need since 2019. What’s more, our beers are finding an audience well beyond Melbourne too and is now available nationally.

​Conversations have taken place over beers for millennia; now we want to challenge the status quo on how alcohol can become a positive impact to the community.
