Tilba Valley Winery and Alehouse

Amidst classic Australian Bush on a rolling, tree-lined property that provides shade both natural and umbrella-made, sits the Tilba Valley Winery and Alehouse. The brewery and kitchen fit snugly in a weatherboard and verandahed building with a kitchen (with limited capacity), wine-tasting station, bar, Jack Johnson on the speakers, a covered performance area and a friendly Staffy slumped lazily by the door. Two beers are produced - a clean lager and a pale ale, as well as a cider. On a lazy summer Wednesday lunchtime the place is packed with slow-paced revelry. While the brewery only produces two beers (and hence is marked down for selection), there's also a winery onsite. Taken together, many hours could be wiled away in perfect contentment here. It's off the beaten track, but it's a track with taking.
