From 1st Choice Liquor, Waurn Ponds in December 2022. Drunk in April 2023 while watching the footy so notes are perfunctory.
L: Dark, golden yellow. Quite dark for an XPA.
S: Rich, sweet malt.
T: Sweet toffee. Quite bitter for an XPA. I see a theme here.
M: Low carbonic prickle.
O: In my humble opinion this is too dark and malty for an XPA, although it's not clear if they're calling it "Xtra Pale Ale" because they think it's an XPA-style beer, which is usually lighter and more fruity, or because they just wanted to call the beer "Xtra Pale Ale" regardless of style. I'm confused!
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
