a fruited kettle sour done with blackberries and raspberries and arguably the least impressive of the beers we had in here, not bad at all, but lacking the obvious technical competence the others demonstrate in spades, slightly cheesy on the souring, not as clean and bright as it could be, and it seems like a lot of the fruit is fermented out, still obviously made with berries, but its lacking zest and zeal in that regard. murky real pale pink color, looks wheaty, has very little head, and is quite starchy overall. the aroma and flavor show a pretty warm lactic character, some of that hard sheeps cheese rind thing, sweaty but short of actually being stinky, more subtle this part is in the flavor. the fruit is tart too, so this seems a little acidic up front, mouthwatering but not clean, dry but still grainy, floral from the raspberries somehow. the flavor is sharp all the way through, way more raspberry than blackberry to me, lots of raw almost doughy grain in this, but it stays on the dry side, the souring could be cleaner but the ferment is fine. weird balance to this, an incomplete fruit profile, and a little heavy for what it is, not as delicate and bright as would make this prime. a little more refinement is in order here, but not a bad one overall.
