“Don’t keep this IPA on the down-low! Made with Citra, mosaic, Idaho 7, and Ekuanot hops, this beer is juicy, citrusy, with notes of orange, and a slightly bitter finish.“

Fills a Strangebird IIPA glass with a dark mango, murky orange color. There is no head, or evidence of carbonation for that matter. A few specks of yeast sediment are visible in suspension. Given the lack of head or carbonation, there is a mystery as to the source of the fine filigree of lace.
The aroma is clearly fresh mandarin orange, with light pine and ripe mango in the background.
It is very bitter, with light sweetness. Pine resin is strong, followed by grapefruit pith. In my opinion, this is essentially a Hazy West Coast IPA. The malt struggles for any footing. The finish is long, dry, and dominated by earthy and catty flavors.
Medium body with a watery texture and light, fizzy carbonation. It is very astringent and the alcohol is as labeled.
While this is an enjoyable IPA, it lacks anything to make it stand out. It definitely needs work on its carbonation and astringency. Regardless, trades with Dave are always appreciated.
