From a growler, filled about 45 minutes ago.
Translucent gold, with one finger of coarse white head, that leaves some surface sheeting, a 1/8" ring, and a thin ring of lacing.
Smell is sweet toasted grain, a little fresh biscuit, a hint of honey, and some light floral aroma (the usual late summer mix - goldenrod/bedstraw/aster) A hint of dry bread crust and corn, as it warms, and the head fades.
Taste is dry bread crust, a hint of sweet toasted grain (as in the skin of a toasted corn muffin) finishing with hints of honey, noble hop spiciness, and the floral element present in the aroma .Slight mixed citrus. Moderate bitterness. Slight dank + green onion aftertaste*, that lingers awhile. [4.0]

Edit , 3/19/23. As promised, they have it dialed in now. The dank/green onion , & citrus flavors aren't there. The sweet corn element is reduced, & the spiciness is slightly more apparent. It is a bit drier. All-in-all, improved , and the rating is changed to reflect that. +.25
Feel is medium-light , smooth, with light, very, very fine carbonation tingle .[4.25]
********************************************
Edit, 3/19/23 : the carbonation is a touch more present, and crisper. +.25
Overall, a good example of the style.
If you're visiting , or passing through the Twilight Zone, give this a try. :)
The guy at the bar, one of the brewers, indicated that they had a slight miscalculation with the new system, & this batch was more bitter than intended (40 IBU actual, vs 25 IBU intended) , & that the next batch should be on-target, & less bitter. I'm looking forward to it. [4.0]

Edit,3/19/23 : now that it's dialed-in, it's gone from "good", to "top-notch" , near-great. Close to the late, lamented Farmhouse's "Just Bucket" cream ale. One of those "could drink all day"-type beers. :) That such a new brewery could pull this off, is pleasantly surprising, and gives me positive anticipation . +.50

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
