Dark, dark brown, not-quite-black, with moderate, long-lasting tan head, that leaves a substantial ring & spots of semi-thick lacing.
Smells of chocolate cake batter, toasted nuts (walnuts & pecans) , & slight earthy/decayed wood after a spring rain.
Taste is pretty close to aroma, but slightly drier. Don't really get the blackberry, but near finish there is a hint of something that could be interpreted as dried blackberry, in flavor & sweetness. If I didn't know of the blackberries, I probably wouldn't have guessed its presence. Light bitterness. Slight tang, such as with brownies made with sour cream. (Fyi, it's a thing, & Mom does it well. ;) )
Feel is sooth, slightly slick at first, finishing with light, lightly-creamy, soft carbonation , and a slight drying effect after finish.
Overall, well done, easy-drinking, and an "anytime" joy. Yeah, if it's labeled as having blackberries, I'd like to notice their presence, but as-is, it's quite good, despite them being not noticeably there. It's a good stout, so enjoy it as such.
