An 11.1% Belgian Strong Ale brewed with local honey, and aged on cherries and black currants. Deep red in the glass, thick malt richness combines with fruit on the tongue, and a smooth spicy finish. This beer is big, bold, and complex.

From a can, filled at the brewery, a few hours ago.
Dark reddish-brown, with light, quickly-dissipating pinkish-tan head.
Smell is cooked cherry, like pie filling, but less sweet, slight tang of fresh sour cherries, and slight molasses. When swirled, there is a hint of brown bread, such as the base bread for gingerbread, minus any spice, or other elements. Slight brandy-ish aroma, but without any noticeable booziness.
Taste is dried cherry, plus some other, vague berry flavor. It's the currants of course, but at times it comes across as blackberry, at some instants, concord grape jam, sometimes elderberry, sometimes currant & plum, mostly a mix of dark fruit. In the background a slightly syrupy molasses/brown bread/figgy/leathery melange. Just a kiss of bitterness after finish. Light sweetness, balanced by some tartness from the fruit & some very light bitterness.( hops AND currants?)
Feel is medium, smooth, moderately syrupy, with light, very, very fine carbonation tingle. No noticeable alcohol presence.
Overall, well-done! Well-balanced, & everything comes together, in a cohesive whole. If I was a hobbit, I'd be very happy right now. :)
