Draft at the brewery
Big foamy rocky head with good retention and tons of lacing, clear orange-red color
Doughy mild sweet malt, hint fruity, gristy toasty malts
Taste doughy malt, cereal, little toasty bready, straw, grain, grist, light floral herbal hop, soft lager like, faint fruity, fair bitterness, soft finish med bitterness
Mouth soft lager like, med to higher frothy carb

Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance - Pours a amber brown color with a one finger head of foam. The head fades fast leaving a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is strongest of a lightly toasted bread and a bit of caramel. There is also a bit of apple and earthy hop.
Taste - The taste follows the nose well with a light toasted bread and caramel malt with notes of earth and some pine. The earth gets stronger while some pine joins in. At the end the caramel fades while the roast increases leaving one with a smooth lightly roasted taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body is medium in thickness with a moderate carbonation level. Overall good for the style.
Overall - A nice brew with a good easy drinking flavorful nature.
