Juicy tropical fruit. Papaya, strawberry, orange citrus, lychee, citrus pulp, tangerine, kumquat.
Kumquat and orange citrus dominate.
Not getting any of the grapefruit many people describe Riwaka hops as evoking, nor any of Saaz's spiciness as the parent of Riwaka.
Smooth, wet, light to medium-bodied, juicy, not unrefreshing.
Showcases riwaka well and is well hopped for a single hop turbid hoppy ale. Drinkable without dazzling, but worth a go for those really into Riwaka as a varietal.
