Great Mane Brewery

 

Large industrial park space with nice decor and plenty of seating. Sixteen on tap with a decent variety. Unfortunately the Festbier and Märzen I had while there weren’t very good in my opinion but the service was prompt and friendly and they have plenty more styles for me to try so I’ll give it another visit.

 

 

A hidden place behind a Sheetz off of 15 / 66 interchange in Northern Virginia. The tasting room space is fairly large, consisting of about 12-15 tables spread out in a warehouse like space. There is a large garage door at one end that seems like it might be opened in better weather. The tables are neatly made, quite possibly on site, and the room might get a little more crowded as they get them produced. There are also a few couches for more comfortable seating.

For entertainment, there are a couple of large TVs and a good number of games that can be played at the tables. There is also a space in back for a cornhole setup. The staff on the day I was there seemed a little tired or something, but they were quick with the pours, even giving me an unasked for sample of a beer they had just put on. I need another couple visits to nail down the service rating. They had a food truck on the weekend day we were there.

The beers I had were all pretty tasty, though they varied in how well they hit the style listed on the menu. They had 10-12 beers on (as well as some sodas available), a third were IPAs, a couple lagers, a couple dark beers, and even a couple saisons.

Overall, worth a visit, and will get a re-visit from us.
