MARCH 2025.
33 cl can (€5 at the pub).
Baltic Porter (bottom fermentation), a beer style that is no longer as common as it used to be, and has been around for some time now.
Dark brown in color, more than black, with lighter reddish/brown highlights.
Practically non-existent foam: it appears timidly and disappears on its own in a short time.
In the mouth, a medium-bodied beer, but with a lightness (typical of lagers) that I did not expect, smooth with this light carbonation, similar to carbonitrogen.
We find notes of toasted cereals, a quick note of bitter chocolate, then walnuts, toasted almonds and a final with a soft hint of roasting that makes the beer end with a very light bittering note, while on the palate the notes of chocolate and dried fruit (toasted walnuts and almonds) remain.
Pleasant balance between smoothness and being delicately enveloping and the softness of the drink, although not a triumph of intensity.
Very well hidden alcohol content.
