Pint on-draught @ Taproom Eatery and Craft Bar, Invercargill, New Zealand. $10 NZD per pint.
5% ABV.
Amber malt (or some specialty malt richer and darker than pale malt/2-row), pale malt. Floral hop flavour. Faint peach.
Balanced albeit simple and a bit shallow hopwise, lacking the pungency and oomph one would hope for in an IPA...this drinks more like a pale ale in terms of hop intensity. Lacks much concomitant hop bitterness.
Medium-bodied. Well carbonated. Smooth.
A drinkable likable brew from a nascent brewery, but it needs more distinctive registration of flavour from its hop varietals.
C+ / ABOVE AVERAGE
