this is a budget ale sold by Aldis, I believe it's very similar to the very fine O'Haras pale ale.
clear golden brown, slight head,
aroma is quite hoppy, touch of citrus,
flavour is refined, smooth with touch of bitterness,
a very fine ale, probably the best value beer in Ireland, imo.

500ml bottle. Dark golden color, I'm not sure what a traditional "Irish" pale ale should taste like, but this is very hoppy by Irish standards and very well worth the price per bottle. Rumor has it that this is essentially O'Hara's Irish PA with a different label produced for and sold by Aldi, so I'd recommend grabbing it if you get the chance.

Brewed by Carlow Brewing and bottled for Aldi. I did not rate this very highly last July at first tasting but my appreciation of pale ales has changed. Not a great nose to it but taste and feel are enjoyable. Worth trying if you can pick one up and keep an open mind on it.
